WashU's Division of Student Affairs seeks a track and field coaching professional for the position of Associate Head Coach, Track and Field. The Division of Student Affairs advances the educational mission of the university through resources and experiences outside the classroom that prepare our students for lifelong success. Serves as the lead staff member for the head coach in maintaining a highly competitive NCAA Division III Track and Field program. The Associate Head Coach is critically involved in all aspects of the program, is given specific autonomy, and shares responsibilities with the Head Coach in key areas of the program such as recruiting, coordination of play, coaching tactics/strategies, budget management, staff oversight, etc.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Shares responsibility with Head Coach in determining game-day coaching and strategy, and represents the Head Coach upon request in all areas of program administration.
Coaches the team, including the development of team members’ skills necessary for successful competition in the sport of Track and Field; devising and implementing strategy for practice and competition; defining team and individual goals; and demonstrating positive sportsmanship and leadership.
Independent decision-making authority for budget, practice planning and implementation, roster management, coordinate efforts with facilities and game operations staff, and recruiting strategy.
Identifies, evaluates, and recruits potential student-athletes by, but not limited to, sending recruitment letters, phone calls, meeting with recruits and parents, and working with Admissions.
Supervises assistant coaches and other team personnel in coordinating all aspects of the program.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Administration, including, but not limited to, Game Day operations, Physical Education, and/or sports Performance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

$53,100.00 - $90,600.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.Questions
