Job Description
The Senior Epic Project Manager leads the planning, coordination, and execution of complex Epic-related initiatives, including software implementations, module enhancements, and cross-functional systems integration. This role is instrumental in driving enterprise-wide digital health projects such as electronic health record (EHR) optimizations, analytics initiatives, and system-wide technology upgrades.
With a strategic focus on aligning Epic capabilities with organizational goals, the Senior Project Manager collaborates with clinical, financial, and operational stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions. They oversee all phases of project delivery—from initiation and planning through execution, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support—ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
As a trusted partner, the Senior Epic Project Manager fosters cross-functional collaboration, champions change management, and ensures that system improvements enhance operational efficiency, user experience, and long-term sustainability.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree (Required) Or

Functional Accountabilities
- Leads the planning, execution, and delivery of Epic-related projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Oversees cross-functional teams including analysts, developers, clinical stakeholders, and operational leaders to ensure successful implementation and optimization of Epic Clinical and Revenue Cycle applications.
- Drives project governance, including scope definition, risk management, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serves as a strategic liaison between IT and operational departments, translating business needs into actionable project plans and ensuring system capabilities support clinical and revenue cycle workflows.
- Facilitates stakeholder engagement, conducting regular meetings, rounding, and feedback sessions to gather input, address concerns, and promote collaboration.
- Coordinates go-live readiness and post-implementation support, including training, issue resolution, and performance monitoring to ensure smooth transitions and sustained adoption.
- Provides leadership in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex system issues, collaborating with technical teams and vendors to ensure timely resolution.
- Monitors project performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring continuous alignment with best practices and regulatory standards.
