The Role

The HR Specialist, Systems and Payroll, plays a critical role in supporting Cimarron’s people operations through ownership of HR systems, payroll execution, compliance reporting, and benefits support. This position serves as the HRIS system administrator and payroll subject matter expert while ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and responsive employee support.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Payroll

  • Execute bi weekly payroll processing accurately and on time
  • Perform payroll audits and generate payroll related reports
  • Administer employee garnishments in compliance with regulations
  • Process reimbursements and deductions

Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare and submit regulatory and compliance reporting, including:
    • Department of Labor (DOL) reports
    • Safety and work hour reporting
    • Workers’ Compensation reports
    • EEO reporting
  • Maintain HR dashboard reporting
  • Support month end reporting for Finance
  • Produce ad hoc reports, including census data and termination reporting

Benefits and Programs

  • Process 401(k) deferrals and loan activity
  • Provide administrative support for benefit plans
  • Manage the employee recognition platform

Operational Administration

  • Serve as an administrator for the company expense management platform
  • Manage fleet and company credit card administration
  • Complete verifications of employment
  • Manage unemployment claims
  • Manage allocation and processing of HR vendor invoices
  • Track employee policy acknowledgments
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in payroll processing and HRIS administration
  • Working knowledge of HR compliance and employment related reporting
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and Microsoft Excel
