Your impact
Reporting to the Superintendent, Mine Services, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient and reliable surface operations across the mine site. You will lead crews and contractors responsible for maintaining critical surface infrastructure, supporting mining operations, and ensuring the site remains fully operational year‑round.
This role offers broad exposure across mine operations, providing the opportunity to influence daily production outcomes, coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams, and contribute to the smooth functioning of a large‑scale mining operation. You will be central to maintaining operational continuity, supporting planning and scheduling, and ensuring high standards of safety and performance across all surface activities.
As part of our team you will
- Supervise workers and contractors operating equipment to move personnel, machinery and supplies across the mine site
- Collaborate with relevant personnel to establish daily work schedules
- Coordinate and support planning and scheduling of infrastructure moves and maintenance activities
- Maintain daily activity logs to ensure effective cross‑shift communication
- Work closely with peer supervisors to ensure effective surface mine operations
- Prepare operational reports on surface production and performance
- Liaise with contractors to ensure adequate support and alignment with operational needs
- Lead daily prestart meetings and weekly return to work presentations
- Provide clear guidance to employees, monitor performance and deliver feedback
- Support and lead continuous improvement projects

Prerequisites for your success in the role
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with and directing heavy equipment
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong supervisory, communication and conflict‑resolution skills
- Effective time management and decision‑making abilities
- Strong understanding of workplace safety requirements and procedures
- Valid driver licence
- Qualified Statutory Supervisor (schedule 26)
- Pit dewatering systems and pumps
- Electric Rope Shovel Trailing Cable Management
- Experience using SAP
- Experience working in an Autonomous Haulage mine site
- Experience with high risk work tasks
