Job Title: Weekend Operations Supervisor
Location: Precision Imaging Centers (Gate Pkwy / Seven Pines)
Schedule:
• Friday 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• 3x12 schedule (hours may vary slightly based on site needs)
Reports to: Center Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly position
Position Summary
The Weekend Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all site operations during weekend hours to ensure efficient workflow, exceptional patient experience, and adherence to company standards. This role serves as the on-site leader during weekends and is responsible for managing staff, resolving issues in real time, and maintaining a high level of accountability across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
• Manage and oversee all weekend operations across modalities (MRI, CT, XR, US, DEXA, Mammo as applicable)
• Ensure patient flow remains efficient and on schedule
• Monitor daily volumes and adjust workflows as needed to prevent delays
• Step in to support front desk, technologists, or tech assistants during high-volume or short-staffed situations
Team Leadership
• Act as the primary point of contact for all weekend staff
• Provide real-time direction, support, and problem-solving for team members
• Hold staff accountable to performance expectations, professionalism, and workflow standards
• Address behavioral or performance concerns and escalate as needed
• Promote teamwork and ensure staff are assisting across departments when needed
Patient Experience
• Ensure a high-level, “5-star” patient experience is maintained at all times
• Actively round in the lobby and clinical areas to engage with patients and staff
• Address patient concerns, delays, or complaints immediately and professionally
• Ensure staff are actively assisting patients and maintaining visibility throughout the facility
Workflow & Efficiency
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in real time (front desk, staging, scanning, room turnover)
• Ensure proper staging, patient communication, and room readiness
• Monitor turnaround times and ensure rooms are being flipped efficiently
• Reinforce expectations around minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity
Communication
• Communicate updates, delays, or issues to leadership as needed
• Ensure clear communication between front desk, tech assistants, and technologists throughout the shift
Compliance & Safety
• Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed (MRI safety, patient identification, documentation, etc.)
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, including activating emergency protocols when necessary
Qualifications
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred (healthcare setting strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of imaging center workflows and operations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong focus on patient experience and team accountability
