Job Description

We’re building the future of medical dermatology by focusing on unmet patient needs and giving people the space to think independently, take ownership and make an impact that matters.

Our purpose is simple: to transform patients’ lives by addressing real needs. We work with care, act with courage, keep things simple and focus our innovation where it makes a difference.

Recognised as a Top Employer in Spain since 2008 and in Germany since 2025, we continue to invest in an environment where people can grow and move forward.

If you care differently, you belong here.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct routine and non-routine analysis of mRNA LNP samples, interpreting results to deepen product understanding, support product development, and quality control.

  • Operate, monitor, and support maintenance of analytical methods for mRNA LNPs, including differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) for thermal characterization, size exclusion chromatography with multi-angle light scattering (SEC-MALS) for particle size and molecular weight determination, and dynamic light scattering (DLS) for assessing particle size distribution.

  • Conduct purity and integrity assessments using capillary electrophoresis (CE) and/or ion-pair high-performance liquid chromatography (IP-HPLC). Optionally, assist with quantitative PCR (qPCR) analysis to evaluate mRNA identity, as needed.

  • Process, analyze, and manage analytical data, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting in line with laboratory and regulatory standards.

  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, protocols, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, scientific literature, and best practices relevant to analytical and formulation sciences in dermatology.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related field.

  • Previous experience in analytical method development and sample analysis, and hands-on experience in one or more of the analytical techniques mentioned, applied to LNP and/or mRNA analysis are desirable.

PREFERRED SKILLS & COMPETENCES

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; capable of working effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and scientific curiosity.

  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential, other languages are a plus.

Join our Analytical & Formulation Sciences team as a Trainee, where you’ll focus on cutting-edge mRNA lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technologies to support dermatology R&D. In this role, you will help develop and refine analytical methods tailored to mRNA LNP formulations, ensuring product quality and advancing research across multiple project stages. Gain practical, hands-on experience with laboratory techniques relevant to mRNA LNP analysis, and work closely with scientists to enhance laboratory capabilities. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster innovation in mRNA LNP therapeutics and take part in experiments that investigate formulation characteristics and their impact on biological activity.
