Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Global Indirect Tax Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of global indirect tax compliance, including VAT/GST, sales and use tax, and other indirect taxes. This role will involve working closely with various departments within the organization to ensure accurate and timely tax filings, as well as identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Job Description and Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee global indirect tax compliance, including VAT/GST, sales and use tax, tax research, business license registration and more.
  • Coordinate and supervise VAT compliance work due to VAT registrations in different EU countries, including taking part in their preparation.
  • Analyze information required for preparation of tax returns and prepare the documents by the appropriate deadlines.
  • Coordinate on the preparation of VAT returns, including review of work results, and projects plans.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of all indirect tax returns and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external advisors to ensure compliance with local, regional, and international tax regulations.
  • Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of indirect tax accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance within the indirect tax function.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in indirect tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Provide support and guidance to other members of the tax team and other departments on indirect tax matters.
  • Maintain and update the indirect tax calendar and task matrix to ensure all compliance deadlines are met.
  • Manage tax exemption certificates and ensure compliance with all indirect tax requirement
  • Conduct tax reviews for self-assessment, perform routine month-end close tax balance sheet account reconciliations, and all other ad-hoc requests
  • Provide expertise for AP and AR groups on payables and receivables in anticipation of new or evolving business practices or tax legislation
  • Support indirect tax audits, respond to all regulatory agencies regarding support and documentation requests
  • Additionally, assist in Ad-hoc projects related to income tax.

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance or related field.

  • 3 to 5 years’ related experience in tax and accounting.

  • Intermediate to Advance level of Excel.

  • Basic accounting knowledge of journal entries and financial statement structure.

  • Organizational skills with attention to details.

  • Good communications skills with internal and external customers.

  • Critical thinking and a high degree of enthusiasm with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and multi-task.

  • Strive to achieve effective performance within the team, working for the overall success of the company.

Preferred

  • Both public accounting and technology industry experience.

  • International Income tax and VAT knowledge is a plus.

  • Experience with automation tools and tax technology solutions.

  • Proficient with tax software and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

120 000 and 180 000PLN

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
