Director - Specialized Mortgage Solution is responsible for managing new business and existing relationships to Huntington and the continued development and deepening of the relationships with existing customers. The position requires deep understanding of all aspects of the mortgage ecosystem which include Commercial and Residential Loan Originators/Servicers/Owners and Operators. Extensive product and treasury related expertise to service the industry vertical in all aspects of deposit gathering and day to day maintenance of account structures. The banker will cross-sell and implement products and services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate, specialty, and government sectors. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored banking solutions. Collaborate with the sales team to achieve business growth targets.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate, specialty, and government clients. Develop and maintain long-term relationships, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or issues. Continuously assess client satisfaction and take proactive measures to enhance the overall client experience.
- Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of the banking division. Monitor revenue generation, profitability, and cost management. Develop and implement strategies to maximize profitability and minimize risk.
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures. Implement robust risk management practices to mitigate potential risks and protect the bank's assets. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to adapt the division's practices accordingly.
- Product Development: Work closely with the product development team to identify and develop banking products and services that meet the specific needs of corporate, specialty, and government clients. Ensure the division remains competitive in the market by staying informed about industry trends and client preferences.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market conditions, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Use market intelligence to identify opportunities for growth, assess risks, and make informed business decisions. Provide regular market updates to senior management.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as credit, operations, compliance, and marketing, to ensure seamless delivery of banking services. Foster strong working relationships to streamline processes, resolve issues, and optimize overall operational efficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5 years' industry specific experience is a sales role in Commercial Banking
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relationship building skills/cross selling banking products experience
- Validating pricing experience
- Problem Solving skills
Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
