Role Summary

We are seeking a DevOps Lead to drive DevOps transformation, CI/CD modernization, and environment standardization initiatives across enterprise applications and modernization programs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DevOps practices, automation, build and release management, and cloud-native technologies, along with the ability to lead offshore engineering teams in a global delivery model.

This role will work closely with architecture, development, QA, and onsite stakeholders to establish scalable DevOps processes and improve engineering efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps Strategy and Implementation

Define and implement DevOps best practices across development, QA, and deployment environments
Drive CI/CD automation and standardization across multiple applications and repositories
Establish build, release, deployment, and environment management processes
Improve software delivery lifecycle efficiency through automation and governance

CI/CD and Automation

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for modern and legacy applications
Automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes
Implement versioning, branching strategies, and release management standards
Support environment provisioning and deployment automation

Infrastructure and Cloud

Support cloud and containerization initiatives using modern DevOps tools and platforms
Work on infrastructure automation and container orchestration platforms
Ensure scalability, availability, security, and monitoring of environments

Technical Leadership

Lead offshore DevOps engineers and coordinate with onsite stakeholders
Conduct reviews of pipelines, automation frameworks, and deployment practices
Mentor engineers and establish DevOps standards and governance
Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve deployment quality and velocity

Monitoring, Security, and Governance

Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms
Drive security best practices within DevOps processes and pipelines
Support compliance, vulnerability management, and release governance initiatives

Required Skills and Experience

10 to 15 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure automation, or release engineering roles

Strong hands-on experience with the following technologies and tools:

CI/CD and DevOps Tools

Azure DevOps
GitHub / Git
Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools
Build and release pipelines
Pipeline automation

Cloud and Infrastructure

Microsoft Azure
Docker
Kubernetes

Scripting and Automation

PowerShell
Bash / Shell scripting
Python (preferred for automation)

Build and Deployment

Build automation
Release management
Environment management
Version control and branching strategies

Monitoring and Security

Application monitoring and logging tools
Security scanning and vulnerability management
Deployment governance and audit practices

Additional Skills (Preferred)

Experience supporting modernization or transformation programs
Experience with legacy application build automation (C++, .NET, legacy frameworks)
Exposure to warehouse management systems, supply chain, or industrial automation domain
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, etc.)
