Job Description:
Salary Range: $51,500 per year
Serves as the leader for all Campus Ambassador (CA) staff in the Parking and Transit Department. Works to raise awareness of Campus Ambassador program and to establish a consistent presence of CA staff across the university. Has a passion for service and building and growing relationships amongst staff and campus community.
Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States; ASU Parking and Transit Services will not be a sponsor for this position.
Essential Duties:
Works towards building a consistent, approachable, and reliable ambassador workforce.
Promotes a healthy an effective work team.
Is an active leader in the campus community.
Monitors and coordinates in-field day-to-day functions for ambassador staff. Conducts evaluations, coaching, and performance management for CA staff.
Receives assistance request calls for support from campus ambassador staff; prioritizes the calls; responds appropriately.
Guides strategic recruitments for CA staff with an eye for the difficulties of the job.
Trains new personnel and arranges for additional training seminars or workshops as appropriate.
Resolves problems and questions presented by staff, regarding work methods or proper procedures to follow.
Recommends procedural changes to supervisor, implements approved changes, and communicates changes to all staff affected.
Other duties as assigned.

Working Environment:
Performs duties in a variety of environments, including outdoor settings exposed to extreme cold, heat, and inclement weather, as well as indoor, climate-controlled office spaces. Office work may involve extended periods of sitting, typing, and use of a computer and standard office equipment. Regularly lifts and carries objects weighing up to 35 pounds. Frequently walks and stands for prolonged periods. Operates an ASU vehicle or golf cart, requiring repeated entry and exit. Maintains compliance with all University safety policies and procedures. Adheres to and enforces departmental policies related to employee parking and attendance.
Department Statement:
Parking and Transit Services (PTS) plays an integral role in support of the development of Arizona State University by managing the parking and commuter options on the four campuses. PTS operates numerous shuttle, bus, car-sharing, and carpool programs to provide sustainable transportation options to the campus community. These services assist ASU students, faculty, and staff in traveling to, around and between campuses.
