Overview: The intern will assist with all aspects of the developmental experimentation pipeline, including: participant recruitment (creating recruitment materials, contacting preschools and centers), help with stimuli design, data collection with children, both online and in-person, coding behavioral data from videotaped experimental sessions, assistance with data analysis and presentation. They will attend a weekly journal club where classic and cutting edge developmental linguistic research is discussed. They will receive mentorship from graduate student and postdoc trainees in the lab.
Required Skills and Abilities
- High-school diploma
- College-level coursework in a discipline such as linguistics or communication disorders
- Experience interacting with children in both in-person and online (e.g, over Zoom) settings
- Availability to work remotely in the evenings and/or weekends (not to exceed the weekly limit)
Preferred Skills and Abilities: Experience working with children in a laboratory setting
