ARC Senior SME

In this role You will:

  • Support operations management across various teams, business and geographies according to process design, especially in topics accounting, reporting and control

  • Drive process simplification, standardization and continuous improvement with the respective operations and optimization teams

  • Participate as required in Global Process Advisory Group forums with the intent of sharing best

  • practices, evaluating options to drive CI both from a process and systems perspective

  • Drive standardization of process controls and key performance metrics

  • Provide backup for the ODM for the relevant business

  • Support maintaining adherence to the Refining & Marketing (R&M) standards & policies through providing relevant domain expertise to the operations and delivery teams

  • Coordinate the relationships with all German business controllers, the in-country EF team, auditors and central teams.

  • Accountable for sustaining the compliance and integrity of German accounting processes

  • Manage the interface with related roles performed in the Outsourced Service Provider and external audit

  • Accountable for building capability and supporting change within the R2R team in the drive for exceptional customer service, operational excellence & compliance

What You need to be successful:

  • Relevant finance and accounting experience

  • Recognised accounting qualification (University degree, optional: ACCA and tax advisor certificate)

  • Fluency in English

  • Extensive experience of reporting and MI processes (actuals, RF & plan)

  • Proven track record in controls, compliance & risk management in a multi-national environment

  • Relevant operational and/or design solution experience

  • Experience supporting and implementing strategic plans across a team

  • Relevant post qualification experience to deliver accountabilities of role
