We are seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to support Copeland’s global treasury function in delivering best-in-class cash controls, liquidity management, and financial risk oversight. This role plays a key part in enabling strategic business objectives through effective banking relationships, cash management structures, and foreign exchange risk management.
This job is based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. We provide a flexible working schedule with the option of working hybrid.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Finance & Banking
Act as the primary treasury contact for commercial teams and banking partners across Europe
Support global banking operations across multiple regions
Partner with Business Units to develop cash flow forecasts and manage liquidity requirements
Evaluate and implement funding and investment strategies prioritising safety and liquidity
Coordinate dividend repatriation, intercompany lending, and expansion funding
Implement Corporate Treasury policies and collaborate with Tax on international cash movements
Assess financing solutions such as supplier financing and receivables discounting
Treasury Operations
Manage and optimise cash pooling structures across multiple jurisdictions
Identify and implement new pooling or concentration structures where viable
Oversee cash management in restricted markets
Ensure compliance with treasury policies and short-term investment guidelines
Negotiate and manage banking fees across EMEA
Supervise a Treasury Analyst responsible for daily treasury operations
Cross-functional leadership & collaboration
Advise on foreign currency exposure and support hedging activities
Support M&A activities including due diligence
Provide treasury guidance for new entity setup, restructuring, and capital optimization
Review and recommend equity investment requests to Corporate Treasury
Support payment authorization processes across Business Units and Corporate functions
Required skills and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
5+ years of progressive experience in corporate treasury, banking, or financial services
Strong knowledge of cash management, liquidity planning, and banking operations
Experience working with financial institutions and external service providers
Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
Strong project management skills and attention to detail
Preferred skills and qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree
Experience in a manufacturing or multinational environment
Knowledge of foreign exchange risk management and hedging strategies
Familiarity with treasury management systems and financial technologies
Continuous improvement mindset, ideally with exposure to Lean methodologies
Ability to work across global teams and willingness to travel occasionally
