Overview
As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will lead BlackLine’s growth within the Retail and Wholesale Distribution sectors across Australia and New Zealand. You won’t just sell software; you will act as a strategic partner to Controllers and CFOs, helping them transform their financial operations. From initial outreach to long-term account evolution, you will be the face of BlackLine - advocating for your clients’ success, navigating complex C-suite relationships, and expanding our footprint within a high-growth SaaS model. Working closely with our Sales Excellence and Customer Success teams, you will ensure our customers realize the full value of their investment while consistently achieving your own professional and revenue goals.
Responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end sales process from strategic prospecting to closing high-impact enterprise deals.
- Move beyond technical features to sell the tangible ROI and strategic value BlackLine brings to finance teams.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans and tiering strategies to maximize market presence in the ANZ region.
- Build deep trust with stakeholders by translating complex business challenges into compelling narratives and solutions.
- Serve as a dedicated resource throughout the client lifecycle, ensuring long-term satisfaction and high retention.
- Partner with Customer Success to identify opportunities for upgrades, migrations, and new module implementations.
- Work in lock-step with Solution Advisors, Marketing, Alliances, and Legal to deliver a seamless experience for prospective clients.
- Build meaningful relationships with VP and C-level executives to understand their priorities and influence global business decisions.
- Ensure your pipeline and opportunities are accurately reflected in Salesforce to support data-driven decision-making.
- Participate in continuous learning and contribute to a supportive, high-achieving team culture.
Qualifications
- Significant experience leading complex Enterprise software sales, with a strong foundation in SaaS environments.
- A proven ability to build rapport and grow territories by focusing on the people behind the business.
- High proficiency in account planning and execution, with a focus on long-term territory health.
- Experience navigating and influencing at the C-Level across both IT and Finance business units.
- The ability to articulate clear value statements and ROI that resonate with financial leaders.
- A track record of meeting or exceeding professional targets through consistent effort and strategy.
- The curiosity and ability to quickly learn and communicate the benefits of a sophisticated financial platform.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to tailor your message to diverse audiences.
- The ability to thrive and remain productive in a fast-paced, evolving SaaS organization.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Finance, IT) or equivalent professional experience that demonstrates the same level of expertise.
