REPORTING, TRAVEL, & LOCATION

This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Capital & Turnaround for Delek. The role belongs to the corporate Project Management Organization (PMO) and administers / governs Delek’s Turnaround Planning & Execution Process (TPEP) within the four Delek refineries. The local Turnaround Managers report into the site organizations. Delek has approximately one major turnaround per year. The travel for this role is approximately 30%. The location is flexible, but will need to be either Brentwood, TN or a location that is relatively close to our refining assets (Texas / Louisiana).

 

JOB SUMMARY

Governs over Turnaround project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management | Develops assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members during Turnaround planning & execution phases | Ensures that materials and equipment resources are delivered on time for the event | Interfaces between the turnaround team, project teams, and site management during all phases of event preparation & execution | Gains broader organizational alignment and support required to successfully complete turnaround preparation & execution | Guides the organization through Delek’s TPEP work process.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ten (10) or more years’ experience in Turnaround (Required)
  • 5 or more years of Turnaround Management experience (Required)
  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or similar (Preferred)
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of Capital Projects (Preferred)
  • No Licensure or Certification Required, but please note on application

  • Understanding of Primavera (P6) Scheduling Software
  • Develop, institute and maintain the planning, execution, scheduling, estimating, and controls practices and processes for Turnaround
  • Ensure execution plans / processes are developed and maintained for document control, cost, schedule management, and discovery work change management
  • Participate in the development of the integrated event schedule, and champion optimizing the critical path to minimum downtime while meeting project objectives
  • Incorporate the aligned plan and schedule into an approved AFE commitment
  • Champion the Cost Controls Team during planning and execution phases
  • Develop and own the tools / solutions to monitor and perform analysis on event execution schedule in real time, and efficiently communicate this back to the execution team
  • Participate in development of Turnaround project risk / mitigation plans
