The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing existing relationships while winning new business across a defined NSW Enterprise portfolio. Reporting to the Enterprise Sales Manager – NSW, the role manages 10–15 enterprise accounts with revenue under management of approximately $6–10M per annum.

Working within a large virtual team, the Account Manager develops senior‑level customer relationships and delivers complex, end‑to‑end product and service solutions. Success in this role requires strong strategic planning, problem‑solving capability, and the ability to engage effectively with senior executives.

Performance is measured through revenue growth, profitability, new business acquisition, increased share of wallet, and customer satisfaction outcomes.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Drive and lead new mobile, voice, data, and ICT business wins to meet or exceed individual targets across revenue, orders, and customer experience
  • Develop and maintain strong, broad client relationships, including engagement with senior management
  • Create and execute Territory Plans, Account Plans, and Opportunity Plans as required
  • Identify, qualify, and progress sales opportunities through effective pipeline management
  • Produce accurate, timely, and complete pipeline, forecast, and CRM reporting
  • Build and manage effective relationships with internal Optus teams to support sales, implementation, and ongoing customer success

 

 

What You Bring

 

  • Significant experience working in a corporate business environment, with exposure to B2B sales, customer service, technical, marketing, or finance functions
  • Demonstrated success in business‑to‑business sales within the corporate marketplace, using a consultative selling approach
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to communicate and influence effectively at CIO, CFO, and CEO level
  • Proven capability in developing account plans, opportunity plans, and internal business cases
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with strong verbal, written, and listening capabilities
  • Highly developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems and a telecommunications or IT background are desirable
