Position Summary
Based in Madrid, Spain, the Electrical Engineer plays a key role in the design, development, and integration of electrical and electronic systems for aircraft within a global aviation environment, ensuring compliance, reliability, and performance throughout the engineering lifecycle.
This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about aerospace electrical systems, avionics integration, and technical problem-solving. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary international teams, supporting projects from requirements analysis through installation documentation and aircraft integration.
What you will do
- Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for aircraft integration throughout the full engineering lifecycle.
- Create electrical schematics and installation documentation in compliance with aerospace standards and certification requirements.
- Analyze signal and power requirements from technical documentation and equipment datasheets.
- Support avionics and electrical systems integration in coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Select cables, connectors, and electrical materials according to installation and performance requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation including wiring diagrams, BOMs, and installation procedures.
- Support troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design and aircraft systems integration, preferably in aerospace or aviation.
- Experience with electrical schematics, avionics integration, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of aerospace standards, certification processes, and electrical system architectures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- High level of English and Spanish.
Nice to have
- Experience with tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, CATIA, or EPLAN.
- Good understanding of EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems) principles, as well as EMC/EMI considerations within EASA/FAA-certified environments.
- Familiarity with aircraft modification programs and avionics integration activities throughout the development and certification lifecycle.
- Knowledge of power generation concepts, electrical distribution systems, and/or aircraft electrical architectures.
- Experience in wiring and cable definition activities, including EWIS-related practices and standards.
- Awareness of aircraft regulatory and normative frameworks, including environmental, electrical, load analysis, and wiring standards such as:
- RTCA DO-160
- MIL-STD-810
- MIL-E-7016
- MIL-STD-5088
- SAE AS50881
- Exposure to aerospace certification and compliance processes in highly regulated aviation environments is considered a strong advantage.
