Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. Ensures products meet customer specification. Coordinates activities of shipping and receiving.
Coordinates production activities with all other company functions to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machinery, and equipment.
Compiles reviews and analyzes production, operational reports and dates to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.
Consults with engineering and maintenance relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products. Revises production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems.
Collaborates with the Process Controller in the development of work instructions and training plans.
Consults with supervisors, employees and Human Resources to resolve or effect settlement of employee concerns. Adherence to all respective legislation and company policies.
Manages the activities of the purchaser to ensure inventory of raw ingredients necessary to meet production processes and the provision of goods and services to all other company functions.
