Category Purchaser – Drive Strategic Sourcing in a Global Supply Chain
Join a fast-paced global procurement team where you will take ownership of sourcing activities for assigned categories, negotiate annual prices, and shape supply strategies that directly impact cost, quality, and delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams – from supplier quality and logistics to engineering and sales – to drive long-term cost reduction and inventory optimization. Your responsibilities
- Execute procurement activities for your assigned categories and suppliers, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Lead annual price negotiations and keep pricing and item data accurate in ERP systems (Infor LN experience is a plus).
- Partner with supplier quality, logistics, and other teams to define and implement smart supply strategies.
- Drive long-term cost reduction initiatives and support CCC sourcing to improve competitiveness.
- Develop supplier relationships – focusing on delivery reliability, quality, innovation, and lead times – and monitor compliance with internal policies.
- Support sales and cost estimation by sharing sourcing insights, and oversee inventory levels to protect net working capital.
Expectations for you
- You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (engineering or commercial field preferred) and 2–5 years of procurement experience, especially about Castings & Forgings.
- You possess strong analytical skills and can make swift, fact-based decisions.
- You are fluent in English and have solid MS Office skills; experience with ERP systems (Infor LN preferred) is a plus.
- You are committed, proactive, and able to perform well under pressure with tight deadlines.
