Sales Manager

We are seeking an experienced and result-driven professional to lead Sales and Business Development for the Pneumatics portfolio in India. The role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing pricing strategies, expanding market presence, and leading application-based solution selling across key industrial verticals.
This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and strategic thinking, with a focus on value-based selling and customer-centric solutions.

Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive order intake, revenue, and margin growth for the Pneumatics portfolio across India.

  • Develop and execute annual and long-term sales strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Identify and penetrate new customers, regions, and application areas.

  • Manage key accounts and strategic customers across Power, O&G, Chemical, and M&M industries.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to ensure strong positioning.


2. Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities, emerging applications, and industry segments.

  • Build strategic relationships with EPCs, OEMs, system integrators, and end users.

  • Lead RFQ/RFP responses, techno-commercial negotiations, and contract finalization.

  • Develop channel strategies, including distributors and partners, to expand market reach.

  • Drive localization and market-specific product adaptation initiatives.


3. Pricing Strategy & Commercial Excellence

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with market dynamics and organizational profitability goals.

  • Conduct margin analysis, competitive benchmarking, and pricing optimization.

  • Lead commercial negotiations with customers to close profitable deals.

  • Establish structured frameworks for discounting, approvals, and value-based pricing.

  • Collaborate with finance and product teams for costing and profitability analysis.


4. Application Development & Solution Selling

  • Work closely with customers to understand process requirements and application needs.

  • Drive application engineering and customized solution development using pneumatic systems.

  • Support customers with technical specifications, product selection, and system design.

  • Collaborate with R&D/product teams to develop industry-specific solutions and innovations.

  • Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Instrumentation / Industrial Engineering (MBA preferred).

  • 10 - 12+ years of experience in industrial sales/business development, preferably in pneumatics, automation, or fluid control.

  • Proven experience in the Pneumatics Industry, with strong exposure to industrial automation components such as valves, actuators, FRLs, and control systems.

  • Strong exposure to pricing strategies, application engineering, and solution selling.


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of pneumatic systems, valves, actuators, FRLs, and automation systems.

  • Experience in application-based selling and engineering solutions.

  • Expertise in price strategy, margin management, and contract negotiations.

  • Strong business acumen with ability to drive profitability and growth.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • High customer orientation and ability to influence decision-makers.
