Regional Safety & Risk Officer – Lead Workplace Safety & Compliance Across Multiple Properties

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee safety compliance for workplace repairs, installations, construction projects, and operational activities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide safety policies, procedures, and risk management programs
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and workplace risk assessments
  • Monitor workplace conditions and recommend corrective actions to reduce hazards
  • Lead investigations into workplace injuries, illnesses, accidents, and near-miss incidents
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive action plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, safety procedures, and compliance activities
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims, including reporting, documentation, follow-up, and return-to-work programs
  • Serve as liaison between employees, leadership, insurance carriers, legal counsel, medical providers, and brokers
  • Maintain OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs and ensure timely OSHA reporting compliance
  • Coordinate and facilitate quarterly safety meetings and ongoing safety training programs
  • Manage hazard communication programs, SDS documentation, and compliance training records
  • Analyze safety trends and recommend risk reduction strategies
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to integrate safety into daily operations
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Travel between company properties as required
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Risk Management, Occupational Health, or related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in Safety, Risk Management, Loss Control, or related field required
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ADA compliance requirements, and workplace safety standards
  • Experience managing workers’ compensation, liability, property, and casualty claims
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to conduct investigations, analyze data, and develop effective corrective actions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to leadership
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and build strong working relationships
  • Proficiency with computers, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office programs
  • Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situations

Physical Requirements

This role requires regular standing, walking, sitting, speaking, hearing, and computer use throughout the workday. Duties may include reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting materials or equipment as needed.

Ability to lift/carry:

  • Up to 50 lbs occasionally

Must be comfortable traveling between multiple company properties and conducting on-site safety inspections in various operational environments.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in office, casino, hotel, and operational environments
  • Frequent computer and administrative work required
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels and active operational settings
  • Position requires travel between multiple company locations

Work Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs
  • Moderate travel between properties required
