Role Objective:


Providing around the clock on call maintenance coordination and oversight for 5 assigned aircraft from the Part 135 Charter Fleet.


Essential Job Tasks:

  • Support flight crews with on the road maintenance support via phone, text and email
  • Communicate with maintenance vendors remotely via phone, text and email to return aircraft to service
  • Assist Director of Maintenance with scheduled and maintenance and planning
  • Assist with performing onsite and remote vendor audits
  • Work flexible/extended hours with short-notice schedule changes
  • Speak/read/write English fluently
  • Work in an at times physically demanding role
  • Complete a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test and background check

Work Environment:

  • This position requires the ability to work near moving mechanical parts on a limited basis
  • The noise level may be loud and use of headset is required
  • Willing to adapt as a varied schedule, including holidays, early morning, nights, overnights and weekends
  • While the schedule is 24/7 on call, the actual hours worked per week will vary dependent on the flight schedule, work load, time management skills, and forecasting/planning abilities of the candidate. 

Physical Demands – As Needed Basis:

  • Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat and/or crawl
  • Able to sit without standing for long periods of time
  • Capable of lifting or moving items at different heights weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Able to hear clearly verbal communications in person, on the telephone

Travel:

  • Some travel will be required depending on aircraft status and proximity to your location 


Required Education/Experience:

  • Three (3) years proven experience in a similar position
  • A&P Certification preferred 
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Has no certificate action since the date of the interview
  • Has no misdemeanors or felonies since the interview date

  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and understand technical procedures and governmental regulations, sometimes quickly and under stressful or emergency situations. 
  • Able to effectively present information to and respond to questions from management, dispatch, crew, air traffic control, and the general public.
  • Able to speak and be understood in English, including shouted verbal commands during emergency situations.


REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Capable of interpreting a variety of multiple instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 
  • Must be able to remain calm, think and react quickly in all types of emergency situations.
