Job Description
Summary
This individual is responsible for managing the overall flow and operations during a scheduled shift at the café, while delivering excellent customer service when interacting with customers.
Responsibilities
- Effectively lead a shift and provide direction to staff to ensure operations run smoothly
- Monitor breaks ensuring that they are running according to schedule and legal requirements
- Monitor food quality and operations in back of house
- Take the lead in ordering, stocking and replenishing items needed for service
- Attend to customers and exhibit excellent customer service skills
- Ensure DOH compliance and occupational health and safety compliance is met at all times
- Exercise authority to manage hours of café staff based on the business
- Escalate issues to Store Manager when necessary
- Assist with banking and cashing out for each shift
- Perform other duties as necessary
Requirements
- 1-2 years of related experience
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Excellent brand knowledge
- Ability to perform under pressure without constant supervision
- Ability to anticipate needs based on environmental and guest cues
- Ability to work a variety of stations
- Ability to lead a team and diffuse any work related issues
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
