Pet Supplies Plus North Huntingdon is launching a structured Grooming Student Program — a paid, full-time position with hands-on training and a clear path to becoming a certified professional groomer. The program is designed for candidates who are serious about grooming as a profession, not just looking for a job.

No prior grooming experience is required. What we're investing in is the right person.

What's Included

• Free tuition in the PSP Paragon School of Pet Grooming — a nationally recognized two-level grooming curriculum

What You'll Learn

The Paragon program runs approximately 19 weeks and takes you from fundamentals to finishing across two certification levels. Level 1 covers pet handling, bathing and drying, ear cleaning, nail trimming, coat types, and salon safety. Level 2 advances into clipper and scissor skills, breed-specific styling, hand scissoring, and finishing techniques. Between levels, you'll spend dedicated time on the floor reinforcing your skills before advancing. Store-side mentorship runs alongside the curriculum throughout.

Upon completing Level 2, you are a PSP-certified Groomer.

What We're Looking For

• Genuine love for dogs and comfort handling animals of all sizes and temperaments
• Reliable, full-time availability including weekends
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to take direction
• Animal handling experience is a plus — but not required
• A full commitment to completing the Paragon certification program

Program Timeline

Applications close June 13th. This is a firm deadline — late applications will not be considered for this cohort. Target start date is August 3, 2026.
