Job Description

Crematory Operator (Weekend Position)

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is hiring a Crematory Operator to support the respectful handling and cremation process for deceased pets within our veterinary hospital.

This position involves operating crematory equipment, maintaining accurate records, and supporting a professional and compassionate environment for both team members and clients.

Schedule

  • Saturday and Sunday availability required
  • Additional shifts may be available based on operational needs

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Operating crematory equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines
  • Properly identifying and labeling deceased pets prior to cremation
  • Preparing and packaging cremated remains
  • Maintaining crematory equipment and surrounding work areas
  • Completing required documentation accurately and thoroughly
  • Transporting or delivering cremated remains to the designated location
  • Using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Communicating professionally with hospital staff and team members
  • Following company policies and workplace procedures
  • Performing additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualified applicants should have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to complete training related to crematory equipment operation
  • Previous experience in animal care, veterinary medicine, or a related field is helpful but not required
