This position is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina and provides support to the in-house legal team across a broad range of corporate, litigation, and regulatory matters, with potential regional exposure.
The Legal Assistant will support internal attorneys by preparing, reviewing, and filing legal documentation, including contracts, corporate records, and judicial or administrative filings. The role involves maintaining and organizing legal files and corporate documentation for Halliburton’s legal entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local requirements.
Responsibilities include coordinating with external law firms, gathering and organizing documentation for litigation matters, and supporting case management activities by tracking deadlines and maintaining legal systems. The position also assists in responding to official requests, including garnishments, regulatory inquiries, and court communications.
Additionally, the role supports litigation processes by collecting records, coordinating witnesses, and assisting with hearings, mediations, and related proceedings. The Legal Assistant will also handle corporate secretarial tasks, support compliance and ESG-related initiatives, and contribute to special projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or Procurement degree (mandatory)
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (mandatory)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic legal analysis and argumentation skills
- Up to 1 year of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
