Responsibilities
· Responsible for the maintenance of Tornado aircraft components assigned to the bay to ensure sufficient stock levels exist to support RSAF operations and scheduled maintenance activities.
· First Stage/Mandatory and Independent certification of completed tasks carried out by the Maintenance Team Technicians when required to do so, including Red-X clearance.
· Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Tornado Maintenance, training and manpower.
· Ensuring the highest standards are implemented with regards to tool control and tool management.
· Planning shift patterns to ensure manpower is both utilised effectively and is adequately staffed to ensure safety.
· Manages the time and attendance of his personnel IAW HR policy.
· The management of spare parts required to fulfil maintenance tasks; ensuring the correct parts are demanded, imspected prior to fitment and correct recording action completed.
· Ability to tow an aircraft and/or supervise an aircraft towing team.
Job Requirements:
· A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
· Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed), or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA.
· Relevant type training (‘Q’ Course) and equipment specific training if required.
· Saudi Engineering Council (SEC) Registration.
· Have at least 7 years within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR 3 years on same aircraft type.
· Leadership skills and proven ability to supervise all levels of maintenance personnel
