Job Description

Performs heavy lifting, heavy pushing and pulling duties on a continuous basis. Operates large dishwashing machines, washes and sanitizes pots and pans, cleans kitchen equipment. Transports food carts, steam tables and mobile refrigerators to and from unit areas. Lifts and stores goods and supplies in the appropriate areas. Performs other related duties as required/assigned.

Completion of Grade 10. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language. Must pass Capital Care literacy test. Where delivery of food and supplies to external locations is applicable a valid Driver's License, clean Driver's Abstract, Defensive Driving course are required to meet Capital Care's insurance coverage requirements. Related experience in health care setting or hospitality industry is desirable. Certificate in FoodSafe is an asset.
