Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is recruiting a Lobby Ambassador to join our team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 64 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience. Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks. Guests can also enjoy private outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline. Position Summary
This role serves as the welcoming heart of the resort, creating an energetic and engaging lobby presence while delivering personalized, culturally attuned hospitality. It focuses on making strong first impressions, guiding guests seamlessly through arrival and orientation, and maintaining meaningful interactions throughout their stay.
A key responsibility is elevating the experience for World of Hyatt elite members by anticipating needs, personalizing recognition, and ensuring flawless delivery of elite benefits through close collaboration with Front Office and Guest Services teams.
The position also champions the creation of memorable, brand‑aligned moments—surprise‑and‑delight experiences, local storytelling, personalized recommendations, and thoughtful celebrations of special occasions.
Strong guest communication is essential, with an emphasis on building rapport, anticipating unspoken needs, resolving concerns proactively, and capturing guest preferences to enhance loyalty and future stays.
Operationally, the role partners across departments—Concierge, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage—to ensure a cohesive, seamless guest journey, staying aware of VIP arrivals, events, and special requests while supporting lobby flow during peak times
Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions
· Assist with responding to guest requests for special arrangements or services (e.g. transportation, dining reservations, local activities, etc.) by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers.
· Respond to special requests with unique needs and follow up with the guest or vendor to ensure satisfaction.
· Accurately enter all guest requests and necessary information in Alice and Opera.
· Monitor F&B outlets for seating availability, service, and overall feel of a particular area.
· Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
· Provide gracious and efficient telephone service as it relates to general PBX services. All calls must be answered promptly with a smile, always ensuring complete and accurate information.
· Review and note all special requests of guests.
· Assis with the completion of all items on the daily checklist.
· Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments and personnel
· Provide assistance to the front desk when needed.
· Must ensure the concierge desk and lobby are clean, organized, and tidy.
· Maintain complete knowledge of the property, brand and World of Hyatt program
· Perform all other related duties as required.
Guest Services Officer Requirements and Qualifications
A minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality/ Tourism Management or a relevant field;
The ability to speak a second Language fluently will be considered an asset.
Good working knowledge of Reserve/Opera software would be as asset;
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications;
Refined verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to work a flexible schedule; weekends, holidays, overnight shifts
Physically agile, ability to stand or walk for long periods of time;
Excellent time management and organizational skills;
Excellent problem solving skills.
Well-groomed, professional appearance.
