We are hiring a Research Coordinator II (Full-time) to join the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will help oversee our service project, setting up pop-up clinics in laundromats/washers. Ideal candidate should have prior experience in Public Health setting.

Position Summary:

Develops, plans, and manages all activities of the Supporting Prevention in Neighborhoods (SPIN), which provides on-site screening for diabetes. Functions in a Leadership capacity in the program.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversees all aspects of the program activities. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors project progress. Develops, implements, and manages policies and procedures.  
  • May manage/maintain annual budget, negotiate service contracts, report on progress, and/or authorize expenditures.
  • Inform upper management of key activities and make periodic progress reports.
  • Works closely with internal departments regarding strategy and collaborative opportunities
  • May assist in the preparation of progress reports and grant proposals to both private foundations and governmental agencies.
  • Working in conjunction with Public Affairs, may create and edit various communications materials, website content, and/or department newsletters.
  • Communicates with the community and professionals to share objectives and outcomes. Prepares/makes oral presentations at professional meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required May substitute required education with equivalent years of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement.

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years of relevant experience required May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094.
