Job Title: Dishwasher – Restaurant & Banquets

About the Role

Keep our culinary team running at full speed. As a Dishwasher at Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront, you're the backbone of our kitchen — ensuring every plate, pot, and piece of banquet equipment is clean, sanitized, and ready for action across our busy restaurant and event spaces.

What You'll Do

• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans for restaurant service and banquet events
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized dish station, prep areas, and kitchen floors
• Support banquet setup and breakdown, including large-volume china, linens, and service items
• Remove trash and recycling; maintain sanitation standards throughout each shift
• Assist the culinary team with basic prep tasks as needed
• Follow all health, safety, and food handling guidelines

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to lift, carry, and transport items up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and push/pull carts or dish racks
• Ability to work in a hot, wet, and loud environment
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, dishwashing, or food service environment
• Basic familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices
