
Athletic Trainer I PRN
Job Description
Towson Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated and skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate will provide expert care in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. This role requires a proactive approach to athlete health and safety, working closely with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize performance and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate athletic injuries and conditions promptly and accurately.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Provide immediate care and emergency treatment for sports-related injuries.
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate athletes, coaches, and staff on injury prevention, conditioning, and proper techniques.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of treatments, progress, and outcomes.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in athletic training and sports medicine.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
- Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as an Athletic Trainer.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and sports medicine principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed on a PRN basis.

- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in sports medicine and athletic training
