The Opportunity: The Food Runner supports the food and beverage team by ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to members and guests. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining an exceptional dining experience by working closely with servers and kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and committed to providing professional service in a refined, fast-paced environment.
Duties and Functions
- Deliver food items promptly and accurately to tables, ensuring correct presentation.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to coordinate order timing.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen expo line and dining areas.
- Ensure all food orders are complete, properly plated, and meet quality standards before delivery.
- Refill water glasses and support servers with clearing and resetting tables as needed.
- Set up and break down service stations and dining areas in accordance with club standards.
- Assist with restocking utensils, plates, and condiments.
- Maintain awareness of dietary restrictions or special requests to ensure safe service.
- Support banquet or special event setups as needed.
Qualification Standards
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a hospitality or food service environment is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- Ability to lift trays and carry multiple plates; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Professional and polished appearance.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
