Job Description

The Production Operator I is responsible for the day-to-day production. This Operator is responsible for ensuring that products are produced efficiently and that the right quantity of goods is produced in a timely manner, at the best price and at the appropriate level of quality. The Production Operator I is required to adhere to Valvoline's safety and manufacturing policies, as well as those of other political companies.

 

Primary duties and responsibilities

Independently fulfill 3 different positions within the production team. Various forklift activities will be considered as a single position, meaning a level I operator should at least be able to effectively operate 2 filling lines. In each of these roles the operator’s key objectives are:
- Meet the production demand without compromising the EHS and quality objectives. - Minimize downtime by effectively performing housekeeping, first line maintenance and adequately escalate to production supervisor when required to reduce machine downtime.- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.- Provide 1 on 1 training on the job for employees who are new in the role in a buddy system.- Adheres to occupational health and safety measures in accordance with the regulations and internal acts of the employer.- Respects work discipline, internal regulations of the employer and generally accepted rules of business conduct.
- Adhere to occupational safety guidelines in accordance with industry standards.

Attend and actively contribute to team meetings such as (but not limited to):
- Toolbox meetings - Team meetings (werkoverleg)

 

Criteria

- VMBO diploma

- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience

- Forklift certificate
- VCA-basis certificate

- Safety awareness
- Technical skills
- Stress proof - Punctual- Assertive- Good computer skills ERP (SAP) & MS Office- Excellent communication skills in Dutch- Basic communication skills in English
- Hazardous Materials Storage and manipulation requirements
