Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Recruiter/Onboarding Specialist will assist with hiring new employees. Responsibilities include scheduling new hire interviews, conducting detailed background checks, training, and processing employment documents. To be successful in this role, you should be able to work in fast a paced team environment while making sure our hiring procedures comply with labor laws. Ultimately, you will ensure our hires get a warm welcome and experience a smooth onboarding to their new roles.
Responsibilites:
- Conducts initial review and screening of applicants for suitability of skills, experience and education for vacant positions
- Collaborates with Program Managers in ensuring timely preparation and distribution of job postings, utilizing the agencys automated applicant database and other mechanisms, as required.
- Refers qualified applicants to Program Managers in a timely and effective manner.
- Participates in events related to recruitment (e.g job fairs, college visits, etc.)
- Accurately completes all requisite documentation and/or processes related to recruitment administration.
- Conducts detailed background checks.
- Schedules training sessions with the Training Coordinator.
- Send out warm welcome emails introducing new hires to current employees.
- Add new employees information to company payroll system.
- Communicate with new hires before their start date to provide necessary information (e.g work schedules and contract details).
- Process employment/onboarding paperwork
- Gather candidate feedback from new hires.
- Support the mission and vision of the organization.
- Perform other related duties as requested/assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- BS in Human Resources Management or similar filed required.
- Experience as a Recruiter or relevant HR role.
- Experience in the non-profit, Human Services industry, preferred.
- Experience with Paycom preferred.
- Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidentiality and good work ethic.
- Valid unrestricted Pennsylvania Drivers License with the ability to travel.
- Bilingual a plus, but not required.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Ability to think clearly in stressful situations, a high stress tolerance required, and works with frequent interruptions. Frequent and prolonged irregular hours are required.
