Your Role:
Join our dynamic Global LE-H team as a Senior Legal Counsel in the Therapeutic Area of Specialty Care –Neurology & Immunology and Oncology.
In your role you will provide comprehensive legal advice in international healthcare matters, pharmaceutical drug development and life-cycle management from Clinical Phase I to commercialization. You will be a member of the Global Legal Healthcare Team with specific focus on legal matters related to clinical site contracting and management, as well as drug research in the USA.
Reporting to the Head of Legal Healthcare Specialty Care, located in the headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact and contribute to the success of our company. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for a wide range of exciting and challenging tasks. You will guide on global commercial and promotional matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and you will draft, review and negotiate different kinds of contracts in the commercial, (clinical) development and research area, ensuring our legal interests are protected.
Collaboration is key in our organization: In your international team you will work closely with colleagues in the Legal Healthcare team from around the globe, as well as compliance and data privacy professionals. This multidisciplinary approach allows us to deliver comprehensive and efficient legal support to our internal stakeholders. By working closely with business leadership and headquarters staff, you will have a direct impact on shaping our future initiatives and driving our success.
This role also offers opportunities to lead ad hoc projects, providing you with the chance to demonstrate your business- and solution-orientated working-style, as well as your communication and leadership skills.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- You hold a Legal University degree and are admitted to practice law.
- You have a minimum of 6 years of experience in the Healthcare sector, preferably in a large law firm, or the legal department of an international
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare company, with expertise in supporting the healthcare business in USA (mandatory) and Europe (optional).
- You have built a strong expertise in clinical trial, research and development legal matters over the past years, as well as in relevant business laws, including but not limited to commercial, fair trade and competition, intellectual property, dispute resolution.
- You have experience working in an international environment and are comfortable working with different cultures, thriving in a global work environment.
- You are used to working and interacting with all levels of employees, including management and senior management, and have a strong understanding of legal, finance, business, and communication matters associated with the role.
- You have good negotiation skills, excellent communication skills, and a “problem-solving attitude”.
- You are a team player who enjoys working in cross-functional teams and takes ownership for the legal topics coming up. You are curious, proactive, and you show genuine passion for what you do. You bring a positive, collaborative mindset to the workplace.
Location: On-site Seaport MA
Pay Range for this position: $216,900 to $325,400
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
