The core responsibilities of this role include: Ensure accurate checking, inspecting and/or counting of all products for both inbound and outbound departments and ensuring all product is free of damage or defect.
Position: Dangerous Goods Processor
Shift: 1st
Pay: 21.50/hour
In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:
A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the following:
-Ensure accurate labeling, marking, and documentation for all dangerous goods shipments.
-Inspect products and packaging for damage, leaks, or defects prior to shipment.
-Verify quantities, classifications, and shipping details meet customer and regulatory requirements.
-Review SDS and follow proper handling, storage, and shipping guidelines.
-Use WMS systems (e.g., Blue Yonder, JDA, SAP) to process and track orders.
-Maintain basic records and reporting using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.

Role Purpose:
Responsible for safe, secure, and accurate filling of customer orders according to Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods handling SOP’s and regulations. Replenish or pick product with direction from pick sheets or hand held computer. Obtains merchandise from bins or shelves to fill the order. Assists the Materials Transport Compliance Specialist in the picking, packing, and shipping of Dangerous Goods.
Key Accountabilities:
- Pick customer orders or shipment efficiently, ensuring the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
- Picks, packs and processes packages of Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods for shipment.
- Count product inventory by location accurately.
- Transport orders to shipping locations utilizing powered or non-powered material handling equipment.
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, customer requirements, quality assurance policies andprocedures in the handling of Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods.
- Assist in physical inventories.
- Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area.
Required Education and Experience:
- 1 year or more experience in a warehouse setting
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
- Prior experience handling/shipping of Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods, preferred
