Within DHL Group, the Insurance & Risk Management (IRM) function serves as a trusted advisor to the business. We work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, mitigate risks, and deliver high-quality insurance solutions.

Role Overview: Head of Customer Insurance CEE
In this role, you will lead the growth of DHL’s customer insurance business across Central and Eastern Europe. You will drive sales performance, strengthen partnerships with DHL business units, and expand market share through strategic initiatives.
You will ensure product availability across channels, support sales enablement, and help deliver a best-in-class customer experience while shaping the future of customer insurance in the region.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development of a high-performing customer insurance sales organization in Eastern Europe
• Drive revenue growth and increase insurance policy placements
• Deliver training, tools, and guidance to sales teams across business units
• Align regional strategies with global insurance frameworks
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and clients
• Support marketing initiatives, workshops, and client engagement activities
• Ensure consistent product offerings and develop solutions for specialized segments
• Oversee IT systems, processes, and operational enablement for insurance services
• Ensure regulatory compliance and governance across markets
• Analyze performance data and provide insights on market trends and pricing strategies
What You Bring
• 3–5 years of leadership experience in insurance sales or business development within logistics, insurance, or brokerage
• Strong understanding of cargo insurance programs and distribution models
• Proven track record in growing revenue and market presence
• Solid technical knowledge of marine cargo insurance and claims processes
• Hands-on experience in client-facing sales roles
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• University degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Economics, or similar
• Fluency in English
