
Sourcing / Category Manager – NORDICS
Job Description
Job Purpose
We are seeking a strategic Sourcing / Category Manager to lead procurement initiatives across the Nordics. This role ensures the business secures best-in-class suppliers, optimal pricing, and maximum value while supporting business needs.
You will act as a key procurement partner to the division, driving strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and category management.
Scope & Coverage
Region: Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland)
- Acts as the key country point of contact for the division and participates in divisional meetings

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation
- Lead sourcing initiatives across multiple service categories
- Identify cost-saving and value-driven opportunities
- Prepare and lead supplier negotiations across local, regional, and global vendors
- Prepare, conduct, and lead tenders, including e-sourcing
Category & Market Expertise
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of:
- Markets and category trends
- Supplier landscape and key local players
- Implement local category strategies aligned with regional and global strategies
- Ensure country requirements are reflected in broader strategies
Procurement Delivery
- Provide integrated procurement support to business stakeholders
- Deliver value through cost, quality, and service outcomes
- Ensure procurement policy adherence across stakeholders
Supplier & Contract Management
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships
- Maintain supplier database, classification, and onboarding
- Ensure contracts are implemented effectively
Data & Tools
- Maintain accurate procurement data (suppliers, rates, contracts, spend)
- Use Coupa or similar tools (training available)
- Leverage data and analytics to support decision-making
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main procurement contact for the division
- Build strong cross-functional relationships
- Influence stakeholders and support decision-making
Management Responsibility
- Coach and support peers and junior colleagues

Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Relevant university degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 4+ years in procurement or sourcing
- Experience with services procurement preferred
- Strong understanding of procurement practices and commercial frameworks
- Project management experience preferred
Location & Language
- Location: Finland (Hybrid, 2–3 days office, ~2 days remote)
- Language: Intermediate Finnish required, English working language
