How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

As Governance & Investments Coordinator, you play a key role in the strategic and operational oversight of DHL's corporate investments and Dutch legal entities. You will safeguard effective shareholder representation, strong subsidiary governance, compliance with statutory requirements, and alignment of investment decisions with overall Group strategy. You will collaborate closely with divisional and local CFOs, Corporate Finance, Corporate Legal, and Corporate Tax.

In this role, you will specifically:

  • Support the different boards of the Dutch DHL holding companies in their role as shareholders of wholly owned, partially owned, and joint venture subsidiaries.
  • Review and assess statutory financial statements from a shareholder perspective and prepare statutory financial statements for the holding entities.
  • Assist in facilitating Annual and Extraordinary General Meetings and coordinate the involvement of local proxies when needed.
  • Participate in decision-making processes related to dividend distribution, capital structure, and equity measures.
  • Assess and recommend capital measures to ensure adequate solvency and liquidity, and support alignment of the holding companies' investment portfolio with Group strategy and long-term objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of Internal Control frameworks and assist with various Internal Control Systems (ICS) activities.
  • Assist in monitoring business restructurings, transactions, and other activities requiring shareholder attention, and participate in the negotiation and approval of contracts with both internal and external partners.
  • Organize and prepare Board Meetings and help oversee financial operations including cash management, invoice payments, receivables collection, and tax obligations.

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, preferably obtained at a Dutch educational institution, and brings more than 4 years of relevant experience. You combine strategic thinking and financial acumen with a strong governance and risk management mindset. You are able to operate independently with a high sense of accountability, while also excelling in stakeholder engagement and communication — including fluency in both Dutch and English.

Your background and expertise includes:

  • Strong knowledge of Corporate Law (NL), Corporate Governance, and Compliance, combined with familiarity with DHL Financial Policies and IFRS Accounting Standards.
  • Solid experience in Accounting Analysis and Financial Reporting, supported by proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Finance Reporting Systems.
  • A good understanding of DHL Business Knowledge and Business Processes, enabling you to navigate a complex corporate environment effectively.
  • Experience in Internal Controls, Audit, and Risk Management, with the ability to contribute to and improve control frameworks.
  • Strong Project Management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver results independently.
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management skills, with the ability to influence, provide feedback, and communicate clearly across different levels of the organization.
  • Confident Presentation & Storytelling capabilities, with a Digital Affinity that supports efficient and modern ways of working.

  • A competitive salary, bonus incentives and a strong pension scheme.
  • A wide range of employee benefits.
