Shop Supervisor (AMS)

Summary

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Shop Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to, providing direct supervision of production shop activities and manpower in the Muncy Branch. We seek a candidate who has a core foundation of integrity and is willing and able to use commitment and creativity to drive our organization towards success. 

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

• Organize and assign incoming work load as per Production Order and Shop Service Order requirements.
• Observe and instruct shop technicians to maintain product quality, shop operational efficiency and housekeeping standards.
• Arrange 3rd party services, purchase orders and shipping. Communicate priorities to 3rd party suppliers.
• Ensure timely and correct completion of all documentation pertinent to shop operations.
• Order shop consumable supplies, coveralls, maintain consumables inventory and cost control.
• Coordinate with parts department as required for shop project needs as well as return to stock of finished product.
• Investigate and address production related product warranty issues
• Continuous familiarization with factory updates to ensure compliance with current service
• standards, service bulletins and factory procedures.
• Maintain shop equipment maintenance schedule
• Ensure shop compliance with all company Quality, Health and Safety work procedures and policies
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude in performance of all day to day tasks and interactions
• Complete employer supplied training courses and recertification exams as required to maintain Waukesha Factory Certified Technician status.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ service industry experience.
• Shop supervisory, engine and component overhaul/repair and field commissioning experience, any and all will be an asset in this position.
• Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer skills, MS Word, Excel, SAP
• Waukesha Certified Technician status, VHP, VGF preferred

Physical Requirements

Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion.
