Job Description

To offer support to the continuing education department and it’s staff with data entry, in the preparation of National Training Center school items such as student information packets, registration materials, classroom handouts and implementing school functions.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Competent computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Excellent telephone skills, essential in dealing with daily inquiries about the individual schools such as registration fees, travel arrangements and hotel accommodations
  • Keep track of all room blocks for each school and report information to NTC Director
  • Book registrations/reservations for all schools entering the reservation into Versa & Sales & Catering
  • Complete all school’s student payments, post check and invoice for all purchase orders, send confirmation letters, send deposit receipts, handle all parts of tax exemption forms, remove taxes from rooms, etc. Handles all cancellations and credits
  • Completes tent cards, beverage tickets and orders name badges for all school’s
  • Orders all supplies for the NTC Office and schools: ex: lanyards, plaques, certificates, paper, etc.
  • Develop a positive working relationship with all other departments and divisions of the Wheeling Park Commission and supports upper-level management decisions and guidelines
  • On-site for all school’s registration and facilitation. 
  • Works flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
  • Complete appropriate trainings listed on the human resources Training Matrix
  • Adhere to Wheeling Park Commission’s safety rules and policy; refer any and all safety concerns to department manager, safety committee or human resources
  • Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
