About the Role:


UGL are seeking an experienced Procurement Admin to join our team on an ongoing basis working on a major Oil & Gas project. Commencing ASAP, you will be working a 5/2 roster within Perth CBD, point of hire is Perth, WA.

This position will be responsible for playing a key part in supporting procurement operations by administering procurement requests, assessing spend against budget, supplier coordination, and ensuring processes are followed efficiently and accurately.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess procurement requests from project team to understand scope of procurement and assess recovery mechanism

  • Raise material and service requisition accurately against correct cost code, do budget assessment and ensure all substantiation is appended

  • Source and obtain 3 – 6 competitive quotations from suppliers if required

  • Coordinate delivery from vendor to delivery point and ensure CMR is in place prior to delivery

  • Monitor and follow up on order and delivery status to ensure timely completion

  • Manage onboarding and setup of new vendors in internal systems

  • Maintain and update procurement inbox, detailed procurement/budget trackers and SharePoint database

  • Assess procurement requests to identify any purchases under variations, notify Contracts Administrator promptly

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve queries and issues

  • Escalate any risks promptly to Commercial and Procurement Lead

 

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in a procurement administration or similar administrative role within a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional administration skills with well-developed commercial acumen

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Experience raising purchase orders and working with multiple cost codes

  • Confident in liaising with vendors and coordinating RFQ process

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially in Excel) and procurement/ERP systems

  • Major projects experience (highly desirable but not essential)
