Overview
This positon can be filled at any UCB Location within the UCB Footprint.
What You’ll Do
- Works with CBS verticals including, but not limited to, Middle Market, Home/Condo Owner Associations (HOA/COA), Franchise, and related CBS lenders to manage all aspects of the loan portfolio including annual reviews, past dues, BBRs, covenant compliance, CARs, collateral exceptions, and other portfolio management tools
- Works in concert with the Chief Commercial Banking Officer, MM/HOA/Franchise Team Leaders, and Regional Credit Officer to ensure proper risk profile of subject market loan portfolio
- Triage and manage workflow with Portfolio Specialists in preparation of LARs, credit memos, spread, and related documents
- Actively participates and assists in all aspects of the loan process including calling, underwriting, presenting through the credit approval chain, and closing
- Identifies and collects all relevant information required to analyze credit requests
- Prepares commitment letters and reviews loan documents
- Serves as secondary contact on client relationships
- Identifies cross-sell opportunities with new and existing clients; coaches and supports team on developing relational business acumen
- Proactively assists commercial banking relationship managers in prospecting efforts, make calls with the CBRM when necessary

Requirements For Success
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance and accounting preferred
- 7-10 years of experience in financial services related to various aspects of commercial lending
- Possess extensive knowledge of credit policy, banking regulations, and loan documentation issues
- Proven ability to spread, analyze, and interpret complex business and personal financial statements and tax returns
- Strong analytical skills in prospecting individual and global relationships, clients, and prospects
- Solid ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of individual requests and make recommendations to address and mitigate perceived risks
- Actively prepare and present credit analysis packages through the credit approval chain
- Possess an extensive knowledge of various loan structures with ability to apply this knowledge to formulate sound credit recommendations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to understand and convey complex information clearly and efficiently to varied audiences, including senior executives
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills; develop and maintain cohesive working relationships
- Strong organizational and time management skills, effectively set priorities in a performance-driven environment
- Fully understand and work effectively within the credit culture of the company; ability to promote credit culture within the team
- Advanced proficiency with internal systems and reporting
- Excellent mathematical, reading comprehension, and writing skills
- Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
Conditions of Employment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position may manage employees and is responsible for the coaching, development, and performance management of those employees.

Office or remote location within United footprint
POSITION TYPE
This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
TRAVEL
This position may require up to 20% travel.
