Job Overview: As the operational heart of our dining experience, the Restaurant Supervisor blends high-standard leadership with a hands-on commitment to service excellence. We are currently expanding our team to enhance our service offerings, and while we have several open positions, this reflects our growth and commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences. This role is essential for orchestrating a seamless synergy between front-of-house hospitality and back-of-house efficiency, ensuring every guest encounters the premier standards of the IHG brand. Typical shifts for this position run from 3 PM to 11 PM.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide restaurant associates to deliver exceptional service.
- Assist with serving, hosting, and bartending duties as needed.
- Engage guests with a positive, professional demeanor; respond to feedback or complaints with urgency.
- Use D.A.R.E. to Connect service behaviors to enhance guest experiences.
- Coordinate daily Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations.
- Manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure seamless events.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations, including liquor laws.
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption, taking appropriate actions when necessary.
- Utilize P.O.S. systems and third-party applications effectively and efficiently.
- Clean and maintain the workspace, including tables, walls, windows, and in-room dining carts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Proficiency in problem-solving and reasoning to resolve operational challenges.
- Clear and professional communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant’s offerings, services, and operational standards.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and supervisory skills.
- Proficiency in basic math and familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and hospitality software.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to complete all IHG and hotel training within 45 days of hire and ongoing training as scheduled.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to remain stationary or move about the restaurant and event spaces throughout the shift.
- Frequent operation and handling of objects, tools, or controls, including POS terminals and dining equipment.
- Ability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 30 lbs, such as trays and in-room dining carts.
- Capacity to identify guest needs and communicate effectively in a high-volume, moderately noisy restaurant setting.
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures (e.g., proximity to kitchen heat or refrigerated storage).
- Ability to position oneself to fulfill cleaning tasks.
A high school or equivalent education is preferred. Minimum of six months of prior food service experience is preferred. Leadership experience preferred. Must be at the minimum age to serve alcohol in line with any local legislative requirements.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings are required.
Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with Crowne Plaza Lansing rules and regulations for the safe and effective operations of the Hotel’s facilities. Associates who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including, separation.
