Trinity Place is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Director to join our team!

Position Overview

As Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for maintaining all physical and mechanical properties of our facility, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations. You’ll lead a team, oversee maintenance operations, and play a vital role in the safety and comfort of our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, implement, and supervise day-to-day maintenance operations of the physical plant.
  • Manage maintenance shifts and security functions, ensuring 24/7 coverage.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance and security staff.
  • Oversee departmental budgets, analyze operations, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain facility and equipment, manage inventory, and coordinate special projects.
  • Design and implement preventive maintenance and safety programs.
  • Interpret diagrams, blueprints, and manuals for repairs.
  • Maintain electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and fleet maintenance systems.
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety and hazardous materials handling.
  • Conduct safety and quality control checks, fire and disaster drills, and respond to inspection deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff and service contractors.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; technical school training preferred.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a maintenance position, ideally in a healthcare or assisted living environment.
  • Skilled in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, and painting.
  • Experience with security programming and fleet management is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Publisher, and other relevant software.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions

  • Unpredictable working hours; may require callback.
  • Exposure to chemicals, waste materials, and various equipment.

Equipment Operation

  • Knowledge of operating computers, fire alarm systems, lawn equipment, hand tools, HVAC units, generators, and more.
