Accounting Supervisor – General Ledger Operations
Location: Bengaluru, India
eBay Corporate Shared Services is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join our Bengaluru team and support General Ledger Operations across global entities. This role is ideal for someone with strong GL accounting experience, sound technical accounting knowledge, and a continuous improvement approach. Experience in Cash and Intercompany is good to have, along with the flexibility to support additional accounting areas as business needs evolve.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong reconciliations and controls, partnering with cross-functional collaborators, and supporting high-quality execution across internal and outsourced teams. We are also looking for someone who can help drive process improvements through automation, AI-enabled solutions, and scalable ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise General Ledger accounting activities for global entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Support month-end close, account reconciliations, and reporting deliverables while maintaining strong financial controls and the integrity of financial statements.
Bring good-to-have experience in Cash and Intercompany accounting, while demonstrating the ability to learn and transition into additional General Ledger areas over time.
Partner with outsourced accounting teams to ensure policy compliance with accounting policies and high-quality financial record-keeping.
Support statutory and regulatory compliance activities for assigned entities, including financial statement preparation, audit coordination, and other compliance requirements as applicable.
Work closely with cross-functional collaborators, including Tax, Treasury, and Corporate Accounting, to ensure transactions are reviewed and accounted for appropriately.
Identify and lead opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency.
Help drive the adoption of automation, AI-enabled tools, and scalable digital solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency, and process insight.
Use strong analytical thinking and systems knowledge to solve problems, reduce manual effort, and support continuous improvement.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, CA is a plus.
At least 5 years of general ledger accounting experience.
Strong technical accounting background.
Experience in Cash and Intercompany accounting is good to have.
Ability and willingness to adapt to broader General Ledger responsibilities as business needs evolve.
Strong Excel skills and analytical capability.
Proven experience driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Experience with automation initiatives, digital transformation, or AI-enabled finance solutions is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively across teams and levels.
SAP Financial Systems experience is required, SAP S/4HANA experience highly desirable.
Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced global environment across tight deadlines and multiple time zones.
