Job Description
SEASONAL - PT Cemetery Support
Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services’ Cemetery Enterprise seeks a qualified individual to serve in a supportive role to work directly with staff on a variety of projects with a focus on mapping and site inventory within both Evergreen and Fairview Cemeteries.
As PT Cemetery Support, you will:
- Evaluate potential burial sites in existing inventory
- Use Cemetery Maps, Cemetery Records and Ground Penetrating Radar
- Perform quantitative assessment and evaluation
- Other duties as assigned
We are looking for candidates with the ability to:
- Think and act independently, problem solve, and work with minimal supervision
- Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
- Comply with pertinent City and division policies and procedures
- Read maps and determine locations using coordinates

Must have knowledge of cemetery maps, records and operations

- Experience and/or a degree (received or in progress) in engineering
This position requires you to represent the division in a positive manner, demonstrate support for administrative decisions, and be an excellent role model for staff and customers. It often demands the ability to stand, sit, stoop, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
The position also requires you to provide your own transportation to work sites which include Evergreen and Fairview Cemeteries.
