Job Description
The Operator assists in the operation and monitoring of production equipment, performing routine inspections, and supporting plant processes under supervision.
- Operate and monitor plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on plant systems.
- Record operating data such as temperatures, pressures, and flow rates.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues and report abnormalities.
- Start up, shut down, and adjust equipment as required.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols strictly.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area.
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for repairs and upgrades.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of materials and spare parts.
- Complete shift logs and handovers properly.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems used in plant operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
- Proven experience as a plant operator or in a similar role.
- High level of safety and quality.
- Ability to multi-task at a fast-pace (at times), work in outside conditions during all seasons, climb multi-levels by stairs & ladders, work from elevated platforms, use hand tools (shovel, hammer, wrenches, etc.).
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical.
- Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) Knowledge.
- Forklift experience .
- Computer Software .
- Warehouse experience .
