Who Do We Need?
We are seeking a Copywriter/Editor with a proven track record in creating written content for clients across various sectors and for different purposes, both external and internal. You should be a strong team player with excellent English writing and communication skills. Your ability to translate client needs into effective content is crucial. You should excel in online research, identifying relevant and recent data to support your work, and have the skill to distill key messages from lengthy documents and reports. You will also be adept at repurposing existing approved content by integrating it with the latest data and news. Your contributions will be vital in driving engagement and achieving KPIs for PR campaigns.
What Will You Be Doing?
Content Planning and Development:
- Generate content ideas that drive digital/social media and PR campaign success.
- Develop a range of content deliverables from client briefs, or help develop client briefs:
- Long-form PR content: briefing documents (for media interviews, panel sessions, and fireside chats), Q&A features, perspective pieces, bylines, keynote speeches.
- Medium-form content: press releases, bios, speaker session outlines, advertorials.
- Short-form PR content: ad hoc quotes for independent news features and social media posts, including thought leadership posts on LinkedIn.
- Lead the timely delivery of content.
Industry and Market Knowledge:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of clients' businesses and stay updated on trends and developments affecting their industries.
Account Team Management:
- Provide guidance and ideas to account teams for implementing and developing client work.
Qualifications
What Do You Need to Apply for This Role?
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience, preferably with a reputable communications agency.
- Strong English content skills are mandatory.
- Well-rounded communication skills and the ability to write both short and long-form content.
- Agency background preferred.
